Each lamp has a 1 Watt LED bulb and a magnifying lens which intensifies the light and casts a long ray of bright light. Clear acrylic saucer shaped shade encases bulb, which never needs to be replaced. Both lamps have a small button switch, which activates a tiny blue light when the lamp is turned off. Bulbs last up to 50,000 hours!
